Prince William and Prince Harry Attended ‘Star Wars Premiere: The Last Jedi’

Prince William and Prince Harry attended the European premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on Tuesday, joining the all-star cast in London for the latest installment in the blockbuster franchise created by George Lucas in 1977.

The British Royals joined Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey; Mark Hamill, who reprises his role as Luke Skywalker; and John Boyega, who plays Finn. Gwendoline Christie, Laura Dean, Adam Driver, Benicia Del Toro and and other stars of The Last Jedi also appeared on the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall.

William and Harry were greeted by BB-8 and stormtroopers lining the carpet, as well Disney executives including Bob Iger, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company.

The two reportedly have cameo roles as stormtroopers in the film, after visiting the set in April 2016 when they were rumoured to have shot the scene.

The two who also met the cast of The Last Jedi were presented with stormtrooper helmets.

Kensington Palace said the premiere was “an opportunity to recognise and celebrate people who have worked hard to change their lives and the lives of others.”

Filmed at Pinewood Studios near London and on the west coast of Ireland, The Last Jedi is the eighth film in the space series and runs to a lengthy 153 minutes.
