History Made: Pakistan Win The Kabaddi World Cup 2020

Pakistan has made history by becoming the world champions of Kabaddi for the first time after defeating arch-rivals India 43-41 in 2020 Kabaddi World Cup final at Punjab Stadium in Lahore.

The hosts trailed 24-18 at half time but clawed their way back in the second period to become the new world champions. The team completed a lap of honour after the match, celebrating as the fans roared in their favour. Apart from India, teams from Iran, Canada, Australia, United States, Sierra Leone and Kenya took part in the event.

The 2020 Kabaddi World Cup was the seventh edition of the Kabaddi World Cup (Circle style), held from 9 February to 16 February 2020 at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore.
