Darren Sammy To Receive Pakistan’s Highest Civilian Award And Honourary Citizenship Of Pakistan On March 23

West Indian star and Peshawar Zalmi captain Daren Sammy will receive the highest civilian award and honourary citizenship of Pakistan on March 23 for his invaluable contribution to cricket in Pakistan.

The news was confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) media account on Twitter. Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi, during the press conference along with other Pakistan Super League (PSL) owners, revealed that he has requested for the honorary citizenship of Pakistan to be conferred to his franchise skipper Daren Sammy.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that the honour of the highest civil award — Nishan-e-Pakistan — and honorary citizenship of Pakistan by President Arif Alvi on March 23.
