Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will host a series of concerts in 48 cities across the globe to pay a befitting tribute to his mentor, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in relation to his 20th death anniversary.
The number of cities chosen for ‘The Tribute Tour 2017’ is in correlation to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s age who died at the age of 48. The concert series will start from Faisalabad, the native city of both Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, in the second week of January. The concluding night is presumed to be held in London, where the maestro passed away.
Rahat said the tribute in the form of music concerts to Nusrat was open to all singers who loved and respected Ustad Nusrat and who are willing to participate and perform at any of the venues.
Film actor Shaan said Rahat was spreading Nusrat’s message of love and peace and taking his mission forward via these concerts.
