Bridget Jones Is Back With ‘Baby’ After 12 Years

Bridget Jones is back after a 12-year break. In the 3rd and long awaited instalment of the movie franchise, the British publishing executive’s adventures continue with Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth. The world premiere of the Bridget Jones’s Baby takes place at London’s Leicester Square on Monday.

The film, which follows Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), opens in UK cinemas on September 16. Directed by Sharon Maguire (Bridget Jones’s Diary), the new sequel centres on creator Helen Fielding’s forty-something heroine who is unexpectedly expecting a baby but doesn’t know who the father is.

Following her break-up with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), Bridget, played by Renée Zellweger, finds herself single again. This time torn apart between the two. This sequel is supposedly the funniest out of the last 3 and is much awaited by fans across the world.
