Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who is Shahrukh Khan’s co-star in the upcoming film Raees, recently broke silence on not being able to promote her Bollywood debut film in India.
In a recent interview with BBC Urdu, Mahira expressed what she loved and feared about her upcoming film. When questioned if she was disheartened about not promoting the film across the border, she said, “Of course, I feel bad. When you put so much effort and hard work in a project, you wish to see the results. I work with same dedication and zeal in all my projects, but Raees is very special.
Though, she is content with her role in Raees, she is scared about openly expressing her fears as she believes it may cause offence to others.
Mahira also spoke about how she absolutely enjoys what she does, “I love my job! There is nothing that I do not love about it. Hope people like my work as much as I do. I want to live and die as an actor,” the starlet said.
Additionally, she revealed that she was on set when Zaalima was released and said everyone there appreciated what they saw!
Raees is slated to go on floors on January 25.
